Art Journal- Khawab
Khawab means dream in Urdu. The words on this page are actually part of some lyrics to a song that I really like. The phrase here loosely translates to “Why God, did you show me such a dream when in reality it was meant to be broken?”.
For this page I started off with some ink blots and glimmer mist sprays on the background. I then stamped the flourishes onto patterned paper- the stamps didn’t show up too well so I ended up outlining them with a bit of India ink. The page border was done in charcoal and the cut out stamped images were outlined in India ink. I then drew on the stars and wrote the lyrics in white pen.
