Art Journal- My Love

I love music, I listen to quite a few genres and what I listen to usually depends on my mood.  Live music is always amazing for me though regardless of whether I know the artist or not, the atmosphere around live music is just amazing.  I typically listen to music while studying, making dinner or art, and while doing chores around the house.  Sometimes it helps to relax, to get pumped up for a work out, to be more creative, or to wind down after a busy day.

While working on this page,I was listening to a song by Majid Jordan called “My Love” and the lyrics inspired me to make this page.  The background was done  with paints and charcoal and then the hearts were made using various inks and stamps.  I then mounted the hearts onto some paper and inked them up some more before gluing everything down to the page.  The colors feel very random to me with the purple and the reddish-brick like color but I think the text helps tie everything together nicely.
