Learning Watercolor- Face Silhouette

I had started to delve a little bit into water color painting earlier in the summer and then somewhere along the line I stopped because I was too busy but now I’ve finally found/made some time to get back into it.  Youtube is an amazing resource for tutorials and how-to’s and I’ve found a few different channels that I like to follow tutorials from.  This Silhouette is on the ElenaRogue channel.

The watercolor paints that I’ve been using are from a super cheap palette from Michaels, I think it was under $10.  The paints dry to a very chalky finish, I think that’s because of the quality of the paint.  I need to invest in a little bit better watercolor palette since I’m using it a lot more often.
