Loft 112 Mixed Media/Art Journal Class

We had a mixed media/art journal workshop at loft 112 on Feb 7th just after the henna workshop.  We created some gorgeous pages, this time without words and that’s why it ended up being more of a mixed media class.

On the first page we used a mask to mask away a shape in the middle of the page and then all the of the work was done around it.  The mask was then removed at the end to reveal a crisp shape.

On the second we page used tissue paper as a background and then we layered on some ink sprays as before applying stencils with gesso over top.   Two of the girls then added some magazine cut-outs to the page as well.
