Art Journal Seek and Find

This art journal page was made using the beautifully vibrant Dylusions acrylic paints. I love the vivid colors of these paints but unfortunately, after sitting closed in my cabinet for a couple years, they all dried out and I only ever had the chance to use them a handful of times. I think they may be discontinued now, but these paints had a beautiful velvety texture to them as well that was quite unique in comparison to other paints that I’ve used in the past

The reason that this page is called “Seek & Find” is because I’ve written a Rumi quote vertically along the flower stems that says

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

I think of this as a really beautiful reminder to get out of your own way and to soften the walls that we sometimes build around ourselves as a means to protect ourselves. The only problem with these walls is that they not only keep things out, but they also keep things in that maybe need to be let go of or set free.
